Executive Director Geoff Kors reflects on the passage of Prop 8 and, in spite of this loss, what we have to be thankful for.

Given the passage of Prop 8, I have to admit it’s been challenging this year to focus on being thankful.

The days since the passage of Prop 8 have been difficult and painful. It was a loss for all who cherish fairness and equality.

Community United Against Violence, Equality California, National Center for Lesbian Rights, and the Transgender Law Center mourn the loss of our brothers and sisters on the 10^th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance.

This year, we remember the tragic deaths of Ruby Moreno, Lawrence King, and so many others in our communities who have lost their lives to violence and abuse.
