Equality California PACs

We’re out to elect a state of equality.

EQCA’s Political Action Committees advocate for candidates who support full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Californians and allies, as well as for issues and initiatives that ensure comprehensive civil rights. We oppose candidates and issues that hinder progress toward full equality.

For more information on EQCA PACs, contact Tony Hoang, Deputy Director, at tony@eqca.org.

EQCA Candidates PAC

EQCA Candidates PAC works to expand the number of pro-LGBT representatives in Sacramento and across the state. The purpose of EQCA’s Candidate PAC is to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Californians by supporting candidates who share the goals and objectives of Equality California and opposing candidates who do not share these goals and objectives. We endorse fair-minded candidates, both LGBT and allies, who are 100 percent for equal treatment of LGBT Californians. Our endorsements include state and local candidates.

Our endorsement process and guidelines: Learn more about how we select candidates for endorsement.

Our endorsement process: Candidates are asked to fill out a questionnaire to submit to our PAC Committee for review and consideration. Our PAC Committee then votes on each candidate’s endorsement, keeping community input in mind. Candidates who are not 100 percent for full LGBT equality are not eligible for endorsement.

EQCA Federal PAC

EQCA Federal PAC works to expand the number of pro-LGBT representatives in Washington D.C at both the Congressional and Presidential levels. The purpose of EQCA’s Federal PAC is to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Californians by supporting candidates who share the goals and objectives of Equality California and opposing candidates who do not share these goals and objectives. We endorse fair-minded candidates, both LGBT and allies, who are 100 percent for equal treatment of LGBT Californians.

EQCA Issues PAC

EQCA Issues PAC endorses or opposes selected initiative and issue campaigns that come before California’s voters. This PAC endorses or opposes initiatives relevant to California’s LGBT people, as well as initiatives that are important to our allies or that have a substantial impact upon our state.

Our endorsement process: EQCA’s Issues PAC reviews the potential impact of selected ballot initiatives on LGBT Californians and our allies and recommends a “support” or “oppose” position.
