Defend the Prop. 8 Court Victory

It's in our hands whether the federal case and all the efforts to restore marriage equality  will ultimately succeed. The November election will determine the course of marriage. We must elect candidates who support LGBT equality, and defeat those who will use taxpayer dollars to defend Prop. 8.

Youth Equality Act Advances, Give Now to Ensure Its Passage

You sent over 3000 emails, and thanks to you, the California Senate listened — The Youth Equality Act passed by a vote of 27-9 on May 29, the first time ever an LGBT bill has won with a two-thirds majority! Now it needs two-thirds in the Assembly, and your help is more important than ever. All proceeds go directly to support the Youth Equality Act, EQCA sponsored legislation authored by Sen. Lara that will ensure non-profit youth groups comply with existing California anti-discrimination laws.

CALIFORNIANS ARE READY FOR THE FREEDOM TO MARRY. ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?

Californians are ready for marriage, and in record numbers. According to our new poll, 55 percent of likely voters in California favor the freedom to marry.

And while momentum is on our side, we can’t take it for granted.

Whether the Supreme Court allows marriage for same-sex couples or denies it, we must be prepared — and we will do what we need to do to ensure that happens. Which is why we need you to be ready too.

Can we count on you? Please give today. We can’t do it without your support!

AB1266 Referendum Filed

Upholding freedoms for all students

It's disheartening, but not surprising. Extreme anti-LGBT equality groups submitted paperwork to ask voters to overturn AB1266 — The School Success and Opportunity Act — the historic bill that protects students and upholds their freedoms to fully participate and succeed in California schools. The backers of Proposition 8 are again targeting our community, this time they're after our most vulnerable students.

Make a contribution to help us defend the School Success and Opportunity Act and continue our other work to ensure full and lasting equality in California!

Please give today. We can't do it without your support.

Protect the School Success and Opportunity Act

We're not taking chances.

The National Organization for Marriage, the main group behind Proposition 8, is back in California. NOM has joined other fringe, anti-LGBT hate groups to attack our students at the ballot box.

The groups have filed signatures with the Secretary of State and are already gearing up for a well-funded campaign to strip our students of vital protections that make sure they can succeed at school.

Frank Schubert, the mastermind behind Proposition 8, has also signed on to advise the campaign that bullies our youth. After failing all four anti-marriage equality campaigns in 2012, he has now turned his sights to attacking the most vulnerable members of our community, transgender students.

Stand up for the School Success and Opportunity Act today! Your donation today will help us spread the truth about this bill and combat our opposition's lies!
