Survivor's Home Protection Act

Bill Number: AB 103

Assembly Bill 103 would allow two people, including same-sex couples, who co-own a home together and meet specified criteria to avoid a property tax increase upon the death of one co-owner.

 



Status: Introduced on January 8, 2009, passed the Revenue and Taxation Committee by a 6-3 vote. Will be heard after the Legislature reconvenes in January.

  • The anti-LGBT right-wing is trying to kill EQCA's bill to repeal the California law that instructs health officials to conduct research into the "causes and cures of homosexuality." Why? Because they know that when people learn that sexual orientation is not a choice and cannot be changed they are much more likely to support full equality.
