Team Win San Diego

We're going to win marriage back by talking to voters in communities that voted yes on Prop 8.

Whether it's calling volunteers, going door to door, or helping with data entry, you have a role to play to win marriage back.

If you can’t make any of the shifts, sign up anyways so that we can contact you about future opportunities. Or become an Equality Advocate and download our toolkit to have conversations with people you know.

Team Win San Diego Field Managers

Toni Duran

Born in East L.A. and raised in St. Louis, Toni began her work in the LGBT community as a board member for Pride St. Louis. Still devastated by the passage of the 2004 marriage ban in Missouri, she joined the Decline to Sign team in San Diego as soon as the petitions hit the streets. After working as a volunteer leader on the NO on 8 campaign she knew she had to continue the fight for marriage equality and joined the Win Marriage Back team. In her free time Toni likes to plan and host Bad Movie Nights for her friends and enjoys figuring out the Wii.

Why she joined Team Win:

"I was devastated by the passage of the marriage ban in a state I call home. Equal rights are a reality and we are heading for it full force. I look forward to working with all the amazing people in San Diego and beyond who are also passionate about equal rights and winning marriage back in California."

Jacqueline Palmer

This Berkeley graduate started organizing in the San Diego LGBT community in March 2008. Watching Prop 8 take its toll in the state she is proud to call home was devastating. She is committed to working as long as it takes to help the amazing couples and families she met doing this work achieve equality and be treated with the same dignity and respect as any other.

Why she joined Team Win:

"I'm really excited to be working as a San Diego regional field manager to be able to build strong bridges among all who care about marriage equality, so we can win marriage back and have a bigger organized force to take on other challenges of the future.”
