Freedom to Marry Week

Join Equality California in celebrating Freedom To Marry Week, an opportunity to educate others about marriage for same-sex couples and to recommit ourselves to regaining that right.

Our Stories

They change hearts and open minds. Same-sex couples share their stories about getting married and the effects Prop. 8. on their family. Read their stories, and share your own.

A History of Marriage in California

For more than 10 years, EQCA has worked with the legislature, the courts and on the ground to ensure that all loving, committed same-sex couples have the right to marry in California. Our work will continue until we win marriage back.
