Equality California Endorses 15 Pro-Equality Candidates
SACRAMENTO — Equality California, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, announced endorsements of fifteen pro-equality candidates Wednesday, including three pro-equality legislators, three openly LGBTQ+ candidates and nine strong allies committed to fighting for full, lived LGBTQ+ equality.
“We are proud to endorse these candidates for state and local office to advance our goal of building a bench of pro-equality allies and LGBTQ+ elected officials who have a strong record of supporting LGBTQ+ civil rights, social justice, and progressive causes that are important across our community,” said Equality California Executive Director Tony Hoang. “This election cycle, we must protect California’s values by electing and expanding a pro-equality majority in all levels of government.”
