LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Equality California, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, endorsed seven candidates Monday, including three openly LGBTQ+ candidates and four strong allies committed to fighting for full, lived LGBTQ+ equality.
“We are proud to endorse these candidates for California Assembly and local office to advance our goal of building a bench of pro-equality allies and LGBTQ+ elected officials who have a strong record of supporting LGBTQ+ civil rights, social justice, and progressive causes that are important across our community,” said Equality California Executive Director Tony Hoang. “This November, we must fight back to protect California’s values by electing and expanding a pro-equality majority in all levels of government.”
