Los Angeles –John Musella, chairman of Log Cabin Republicans of California, announced today that the organization has endorsed AB 2246, SB 1408, AB 1887, AB 1732, and SB 1005, five bills included in Equality California’s 2016 legislative package.  In response, Equality California Executive Director Rick Zbur released the following statement:

“Today’s endorsement demonstrates that advancing LGBT equality is a shared goal of leaders in both of California’s principal political parties.  LGBT people are part of every geographic, ethnic, religious, and – we should add – political community in California.  Achieving full and lasting equality for LGBT people requires marshaling support across the political spectrum.  We look forward to working with Log Cabin Republicans on these bills and on future initiatives to make California a better place for LGBT people and all the communities we are part of.”
