SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Equality California, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, will hold a rally at the State Capitol West Steps in response to rising anti-LGBTQ+ attacks in California and across the country as well as officially release its 2023 State Legislative Scorecard and honor those lawmakers who earned a 100% rating. The rally serves as part of the organization’s annual LGBTQ+ Advocacy Day, returning in-person to the state capitol in Sacramento after last year’s successful event in August, 2023.

WHAT:
Equality California will hold a rally on Monday, April 8, 2024, as part of its annual LGBTQ+ Advocacy Day. The event is in response to a continued uptick in anti-LGBTQ+ attacks in California and across the country. Equality California will also release its 2023 Legislative Scorecard alongside legislators who scored 100%. The event will bring together LGBTQ+ community members, organizations, and allies to meet with lawmakers regarding priority legislation that will positively impact LGBTQ+ Californians.
